The Dennis Historical Society’s library, "The Pauline (Wixon) Derick Library" is located on the second floor of the West Dennis Free Public Library. The library consists of collections of books, manuscripts, photographs, scrapbooks and other ephemera, related to the Town of Dennis and the mid-Cape area. Of special interest are the maritime collections, diaries, early deeds, letters and genealogical information. While the library’s collections are not for circulation outside of the West Dennis Public Library’s building, they are available for research in a spacious and comfortable atmosphere, which is fully handicap-accessible.

The DHS Library is open Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 2 pm & by appointment
